I think we might have made a Canuck out of him.

Fred Lee was his normal shrinking violet, as you can see.

But really the guy is an extraordinary auctioneer.

Randene Neill of Global TV, as MC, and Brenda Plant, Turning Point Recovery Society executive director, rounded out the program.

The evening was lots of fun and a real help to a great organization.

Chris can do the “bad guy” and it’s territory he likes to cover.

He also has that quiet confidence that can be quite unsettling.

Lastly, we caught a very clean cut upscale look that will serve him well.

Robin asked me to do a portrait for her website, www.robindelpino.com and I happily agreed. She wanted something that would reflect her sense of style as well as the joy and openness she brings to her work.

I included a couple of my favorite outtakes here because they really capture not only her beauty but also her great sense of humor.

And I love the hair. It’s so cool that Robin feels no need to cover the grey.

They carry this wonderful quality of strength and grace.

Not to mention mystery.

Gerald is 92. He is a retired litigator with a wicked sense of humor and a certain sartorial flare.

What can I say about Mildred? She’s 93 and the picture says it all.

Lillian, another 92 year old, kept us all in stitches. She has the most engaging laugh I’ve ever heard.

There are so many opportunities for young people in Vancouver’s film industry. Whenever I can, I steer them to Kirsten Clarkson’s Young Screen Actors Academy. I know they’ll be well looked after there.

Oh, and did I mention she also plays the violin.

Recently seen in the indy films “The End” and “Strings”, as well as a Kal Tire spot, Bill has an amazingly versatile look.

He can definitely play the Dad or the Coach, as above, and he can do the corporate bad guy as well.

We captured how changeable his look is.

Phil came to me about a year ago and booked a photo shoot 9 months in advance. He wanted to “bookend” the next level of conditioning he was committed to achieving in his health and fitness. In Phil’s coaching, he talks about a tool he uses with his clients called “the Carrot and Stick” approach as a way to “bookend” their goal. In short, the “Carrot” is something tempting that dangles in front of a person to help that individual move forward toward the goal. The “Stick” is something created that is painful enough to keep you moving forward.

In this case, the “Carrot” was the body Phil envisioned having and the sense of pride and accomplishment he would receive from obtaining that goal. The photo session was used to record the outcome and hold him accountable. The “Stick” was an agreement he made with his best friend that if he didn’t meet his specific health and fitness goal, Phil would donate $1000 to his friend’s 1 year old daughter’s education fund.

Well Phil’s friend will have to do without the $1000 addition to the fund. Phil created enough ecouragement and enough “pain” to move forward and stay on track with his fitness goal. The result? Phil is now in peak physical condition and has the satisfaction of meeting his commitment. He also has great photos that captured his success.

This week we lost a very special friend and mentor. Every now and then the universe offers up a truly special person. Milton was such an individual. He was a towering example of selflessness, warmth, humour and honesty. He will be missed by so many of us.

His newest book, Distrust that Particular Flavor, was just released so I’m still waiting for my copy. The reviews have been great.
